If you are planning to buy a computer (other than a desktop), can be confronted with the question, "What should I buy – a netbook or notebook?"
First, what is a netbook? A netbook is a type of notebook that is smaller and lighter than a regular notebook, but has a processor slower. Traditionally, in terms of screen size, netbooks have less than 12-inch screen. Well, this is a very generic definition, and I guess it's better to find out how the manufacturer calls its product in particular – if you call it a netbook or notebook.
However, with the latest on computer technology, some features that were originally only found on laptops are starting to look in netbooks, and vice versa.
Now, as to which one to buy, your choice should be guided by what is going to use the computer for. If you are running "heavy" programs, go a notebook. But if portability is then the obvious choice is the netbook.
There are many sites to give more detailed distinction between the two, but let me list down some of the aspects you may want to consider before making a decision:
1. Processor speed
Laptops have slower processors to laptops. Today, most have Intel Atom N280 netbooks that only can give of 1.66 GHz, which works well on netbooks. Moreover, laptops can have processors capable of more than 2 GHz. So if you need a intensive computer for photo and video editing, AutoCad, or other programs that require more powerful processors, avoid buying a netbook. But if only used your computer to regular office programs, web browsing, and chat, netbooks are the perfect choice (see videos and listen to are, of course, also possible in netbooks).
2. Exhibiting
Needless to say, the notebooks have larger screens than netbooks. Without This does not mean that the small screens are not good. In fact, work quite well. It comes down to your preference.
3. Keyboard Size
As in the screen, the size of the keyboard of the laptop is better than that found in netbooks – and by better, I meant larger and easier to type. However, the new netbooks offer good size keyboard that people can easily get used to. The choice is yours. The line background is the ease and comfort. Netbook manufacturers often include the size of the keyboard on your specifications. Do not ignore this information when buying a netbook.
4. Storage
A regular netbook on the market today only has 160 GB storage (hard drive) compared with a size much larger in laptops. GB 160 A netbook is usually enough for all your office files and music and some videos, but if you expect to save a lot of "large" files and programs over time, 160 GB might not be enough.
5. Memory (RAM)
At present, I have not heard of the netbooks that can be equipped with more than 2 GB of memory. You will not need more than 2GB of RAM for office programs and web browsing. Laptops can be as high as 4 GB of RAM (or even 8 GB) for the programs of more "intense."
6. Disc Drive (Optical Disc Drive)
Laptops do not have disk drives. However, you can install programs directly from the Internet or through a flash drive USB if you want.
7. Battery
A lot of netbooks can now run for more than 6 or 7 hours on the battery in a single charge (some even claim that run on the battery for 10 hours or so). Notebooks, on the other hand, they consume more power, can run on battery for perhaps up to 5 hours (6 cell battery is the base). However, as I mentioned at the beginning of this blog, now there are features that are emerging as in netbooks and notebooks, which has initially only been found in any of them. Battery life is one of these characteristics. There are now laptops that can operate for 8 hours or less, as claimed by manufacturers. Take Note, however, that manufacturers often quote the maximum number of hours the equipment can operate on battery power – ie the computer running the battery in sleep mode most. In the real world situations, however, these claims are higher about 2 hours.
8. Portability
Netbooks win when we are talking about portability. But again, this function is becoming less exclusive for netbooks now considering that there are ultra-lightweight and ultra-thin notebook market. Please check the details on the weight of a laptop or netbook when portability is a big problem for you.

As a final note, we can not categorically say a netbook is better than a scrapbook, or vice versa. It all depends on the purpose of the team that will serve … or reason to buy a computer first. Before you buy a laptop or netbook computer, first analyze your needs and choose the one that best suits your needs.
