Is my rabbit going into labor?
Hello, I was just curious if my pussy was going into labor. I have had rabbits that have on before, but only rescued this rabbit and want to make sure it's okay because I do not know their history and have only had her for 2 days. She is great. Her nipples are completely exposed (skin over have fallen). She keeps lying and sometimes putting his hind legs, she has not eaten today or yesterday, but has been the drinking water, and she is gritting his teeth once in a while. When I put my hand under her belly, I can clearly feel the baby move. Is it likely that she goes labor?
Sure looks like it is preparing to kindle. But could still be a few days. I would give her a Tums to help with the work and give a little extra calcium, since they do not know the background. She may be poor in calcium and protein. I also give some Calf Manna to protein. In the absence of proteins that can eat the kits, which is what makes your protein is depleted due to pregnancy. Continue Manna Tums and calf all the time nursing the kits. Get a nest box and let it do the rest.
